I finally got a chance to meet the BBQ Smith crew on Stuart St yesterday, and I'm glad I did. There should be no bbq, truck nor B&M, that shall pass me. What you see here is the pulled pork, slaw, greens & beans. They tossed me some greens, thinking - perhaps a little vegetation would do him some good. Pulled pork or chicken w/2 sides runs $9. I found the pulled pork to be a more solid effort than the pulled pork in the Redbones sammie. BBQSmith had more of a smokey flavor. It's lightly sauced, the meat moist enough not to need much. You'll also find some onion slices in there, and you can see the pickles on top. Personal preference, I like having a choice of sauces. Good flavors all around on the sides, and I was looking for and got enough vinegary taste w/my greens. They get 4 stars on Yelp, and that's about where I would go. Yeah, I'll be back for more |
