Pictured are a few Bon Me treats I brought back. Deviled tea eggs are center stage, flanked by soba noodles w/spice rubbed chicken and bbq pork over brown rice on the other. The latter is being saved for later. The soba & chicken were very tasty and enjoyable. I thought the chicken was a tad overcooked, but that's my taste, some would have said it was fine. Nice salad with Vietnamese vinagrette. Everything was fresh tasting. Now those deviled tea eggs - they were delicious. I got the heat and the tea flavoring, oh yeah, I'd get that again. Entrees are just 6 bucks, which is a pretty good buy. The deviled tea eggs were $2. Service was pretty quick I think I had about a 6 minute wait, it was moderately busy. Not Dewey Sq busy, but steady. Update 8/1/12 - I did try the spice rubbed chicken and had the same feeling about the dish. The flavors are great all around, but that chicken is overdone. A good meal sure, could be improved. And one more update! Tried the Jamaican Jerk Chicken and found it not to suffer from the slightly overdry chicken of previous dishes. |
