As I write this on 8/1/12, BBB only has 3 breakfast shifts in Boston. I caught them on a Monday morning at Boston Public Library. What you see here is the Bacon Hill, a pretty hearty breakfast sandwich with Applewood smoked bacon, organic egg, fresh cracked pepper, cheddar and bacon aioli on a toasted Iggy's brioche. Lots of high quality ingredients. At $4.25, only slightly more expensive than a pre-fab Dunkies sammie. Really good sandwich, though some would want the bacon a little more crispy as you can see from the picture. There would be no reason to get a pre-fab breakfast sandwich anywhere, when you can get this or a sandwich from Green Bean. I'm looking forward to trying a burger. It did take a while to get the sandwich made, maybe 1st day jitters? There were about 5 people in the truck, no line, but it was a bit more of a wait than I expected. I think all trucks go through that stage of "how do we get stuff out faster". |
