My usual stomping grounds is the Back Bay, so until I attended a conference down by the Seaport, I had not had a chance to try Pennypackers. It's quite a way down Northern Ave., but both needed and popular based on the line I found at lunchtime. To no one's surprise, I went pig - Porchetta sandwich with grain mustard and arugala. I found the porchetta very tasty and tender. Paired with the mustard, you had 2 strong flavors dominating the sandwich, the arugala doesn't really have a chance in there. I liked it, and yeah I would have it again, but it did need something else in there to offset those bold flavors. |
