StaffMeal

Review 2: The Staff Meal truck is one of the most popular trucks on the Boston scene. I've gotten to know Adam & Patrick, and more importantly, their food. One of my favorite bites has to be the turkey boudin blanc they did on a Thanksgiving menu... uhhh or maybe the mashed sweet potato w/candied bacon. Do they have morphed into what people are calling a taco truck, but it's more using tortillas as a means to provide innovative street food. Here you have the Chinese Sausage, Fried Rice, Black Bean
Mayo &Fried Garlic taco on top. Beneath it is Shrimp Kabayaki, Foie Gras Kewpie, Rice Krispies, Jicama, Gochu. Yeah Rice Krispies for a crunch texture! What I liked about these, and what I like about what Staff Meal does is how they combine a variety of flavor profiles and textures together. Not an inexpensive bite, that shrimp taco will cost you $5, but after eating one, I made peace with my wallet quickly. Boston Phoenix Readers' Poll winners for best food truck in Boston.

Staff Meal Review 1: Disclaimer- I'm pretty friendly with Adam & Patrick, consider them friends and will be doing an article on them for Mobile Cuisine soon. That said, I keep going back because of the rockin' things they put inside of soft tacos. This little guy consists of Moroccan Lamb, Harissa Roasted Peppers,
Preserved Lemon, Ras El Hanout, and Almonds. Think about that, you've got flavors, you've got texture. I'm still partial to the dearly departed corned beef, pickled cabbage slaw and pumpernickel puree, with mustard (sigh), but this was a great start to my lunch
