My daughter and I had a chance to stop at the Greenway's Mobile Food Fest, which was just a fun event to hang around. I was so glad to see the vendors doing well and some great menus out there. For years, I'ev been taunted by the fact that I never had a Speed Dog. Not living local and Newmarket being a hike for workday lunch, it just never happened. But there they were... finally we meet! I got mine with everything, though while I spotted sauce, chili and onions, I don't think mustard made it on. That may also be a function of the short amount of time it took for this Act of the Gods to disappear into my mouth. Those flavors go so well with the split grilled brined behemoth in a sub roll. Eight bucks for a hot dog, no problem. Compared to a Fenway Monster Dog, you'd eat this 12 times out of 10. I hope they get their act together to get out into the city more. If you never had one, you'd be stunned. And yes, my daughter done me proud and finished her's also. |
