Well I finally got a chance to try The Taco Truck. They've been a success down in Jersey and based on my lunch, I think they will do well here. The Pollo Asado torta on the left, has white onions, pickled jalapenos avocado, crema and black bean spread. The chicken is marinaded in guajillo chili. Very nice flavors, you can have guacamole or queso Cotija as an add on for an extra 75 cents. The menu mentions it was extra, that was not mentioned when I placed my order. On the side is Arroz Y Frijoles - red rice and Oaxaca black beans. Gentle heat with these, a nice combination. The rice was perhaps a little undercooked, or maybe that's just how it is. Unlike most trucks, prices do not include tax. My torta was $6.50, the side was $2.50. Tacos run $4.50-5 for the most part and come in pairs. |
